EXERCISE



Exercise is critically important to a total lifestyle approach, to health, especially to people who take active parts in sporting activities. The following are some of the b enefits of exercise.

1                    exercise helps us feel good. It is so effective that it is a valuable tool for relieving anxiety and stress.
2                    Exercise increases energy levels making us more efficient and productive in all that we do
3                    Exercise helps one to reach and maintain proper weight. It burns calories, builds muscles and increases metabolism.
4                    Exercises stimulate the immune system
5                    Exercise enhances circulation which in turn improves memory and mental ability and promotes better sleep and faster healing
6                    Exeercise strengthens the bones, helping them retain calcium and other minerals, thus aiding in the prevention of osteoporosis.
7                    Exercise helps protect from heart disease by strengthening the heart, decreasing blood pressure and heart rate.
8                    Wxercise aids digestion and promotes intestinal activity, reducing gas and constipation.
Before any sporting activity is undertaken by an individual, it is recommended that a period of ten to thirty minutes be used for warming up by exercising aerobically. This goes a long way to prevent injuries that may result from the strain of the games. Also after every sports, even active participants shouldend with with low intensity exercise to cool down and more stretching to avoid soreness and enhance flexibility. Every individual must also be able to know his tolerance limit. So don’t push beyond your tolerance. Excessive sports is not healthy.
